Last year I joined the Ocean Beach Chapter (Scarborough) of BNI - Business Network International. BNI is a business networking organisation that brings small and sometimes not so small business owners together each week.
Our meetings are organised around breakfast on Wednesday at one of the nicest cafes on the Scarboro strip - Cafe Bianci. In the time that I have been attending BNI I have
met some exceptional people. Of course some of you are now our clients and we are very greateful for that.
The things that really impress me about the people I have met through BNI is the integrity of the members, their friendlisness and readiness to help other members in what ever capacity they can. The motto of BNI is "Givers Gain" and each week we strive to help each other grow our business by keeping an eye out for opportunites not just for ourselves but for the other members of the chapter.
If you have heard of BNI or if you are interested in coming along, having a great breakfast and meeting and talking to some talented and helpful small business owners your most welcome. Just drop me a line to tee something up.
There are other chapters around Perth, and you will probably be surprised just how many there are, so if Scarborough doesn't work for you, there is one in your area. That doesn't mean to say you can't come along and test the water one morning with at least one friendly face you know.
